Mangoes Cubes - Freeze Dried (10mm)

Regular price $41.00
Regular price Sale price $41.00

What's in It

Ingredient: 100% mango. Nothing else: no added sugar, oil coating, preservatives or artificial colours.

Freeze-dried mango cubes with a golden orange colour and sweet tropical mango flavour.

Spec: Uniform 10 mm cubes.

Single-ingredient fruit, suitable for vegans. Packed in 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg bags.

Usage & Yield Guide

Built for chocolate coating, snack packs, cereal and trail mixes, smoothie bases and confectionery.

  • Format: Uniform cubes dose consistently and give a chunky, visible piece in every serve.
  • In dry mixes: stays crisp with no moisture migration into cereal, granola or chocolate.
  • In wet mixes: rehydrates in yoghurt, batters and drinks; add late to keep shape.

Will Mango Cubes Go Soft on a Cake Display?

Short answer: they stay crisp for several hours in a normal room, and soften once they absorb moisture. Unlike fresh mango, there is no juice to weep into the icing.

Natural fruit sugars make the surface turn slightly tacky once it picks up humidity. The colour stays bright and it will not stain icing.

10 mm cubes sit between diced and whole: chunky enough to stay crisp in the centre for longer, with cut sides that soften first.

  • Display cabinets: decorate as close to display time as possible; chilled cabinets soften pieces faster than ambient ones.
  • All-day display: set pieces on chocolate or ganache, or seal them with a light cocoa-butter spray to slow moisture uptake.
  • Prep ahead: keep decorated items covered and dry; do not decorate the night before.

Storage & Freshness

Keep it sealed, cool and dry. Freeze-dried mango cubes pull moisture from the air, which is what turns them from crisp to chewy.

Tropical fruit turns tacky and can clump if left open; reseal straight away.

  • Unopened: store at room temperature, away from heat and sunlight.
  • After opening: take out what you need for the day and reseal the bag, or decant into an airtight food-grade tub.
  • Best used within a week of opening.

Why Buyers Choose 10mm Freeze-Dried Mango Cubes

  • Even size, even spread. Cubes of a similar size mix evenly through dry blends, so every bowl, bar or bag gets its share of mango.
  • Stays crunchy in dry products. The water is removed by freeze-drying, so the pieces stay crisp in cereal, muesli, trail mix and chocolate, as long as they are kept dry.
  • A short ingredient list. One ingredient on your label: mango.
  • No prep, no waste. No peeling, no stones, no bruised fruit to sort through. Every gram goes into your product.
  • No freezer needed. Store at room temperature in a dry warehouse. The cubes are light, so they cost less to move than fresh or frozen mango.
  • Mango all year. Your supply isn't tied to the mango season.

Where to Use Them

  • Breakfast cereal, muesli and granola
  • Snack bars, trail mix and nut mixes
  • Chocolate bark, clusters and coated pieces
  • Yoghurt, ice cream and dessert toppings (add just before serving for the best crunch)
  • Cake, cheesecake and bakery decoration
  • Smoothie bowl toppings and drink mixes
  • Repacking into retail snack packs and gift hampers

Tips for Working With Freeze-Dried Mango

  • Keep it dry. The cubes soak up moisture from the air and from wet ingredients. Add them to dry blends, or late in the process.
  • In wet batters they soften, much like any fruit piece. For crunch, use them as a topping or in low-moisture recipes.
  • To rehydrate, soak them in water or juice until soft. This turns them into soft mango pieces for sauces, fillings and purées.
  • Reseal opened bags straight away. Humid air makes the cubes soft and sticky.
  • Test a small batch first before a full production run.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size are the mango cubes?

About 10mm. Freeze-dried fruit is delicate, so some small pieces and crumbs are normal in a bulk bag.

What is in freeze-dried mango cubes?

Just mango. There is no added sugar, sulphites, oil or preservatives.

Do they stay crunchy in cereal and snack mixes?

Yes, as long as they stay dry. In dry products like cereal, muesli and trail mix they keep their crunch. In wet foods they soften.

Can I bake with freeze-dried mango?

Yes. They work best as a topping or in low-moisture recipes. Mixed into a wet batter they soak up liquid and turn soft, like other fruit pieces.

How do I rehydrate freeze-dried mango?

Soak the cubes in water or juice until they are soft. Use them in sauces, fillings, smoothies and purées.

How long do they last and how should I store them?

Every bag has a best-before date printed on it. Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and reseal it tightly after opening.

Where does the mango come from?

This mango is imported. Country of origin is available on request.

Can I order more than 1kg?

Yes. Contact us for a wholesale quote on larger volumes or regular supply.
